Suzanne’s warm, empathic and wholistic approach is trauma informed, using a range of therapies tailored to suit your needs. These include, but are not limited to CBT, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, ACT, Compassion Focused Therapy and Internal Family Systems. You do not need to relive your traumas. The idea is to help you to move beyond any traumas to choose and create a better life!
Suzanne has worked primarily with adolescents and adults (to over 100 years old) who have struggled with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, ASD, ADHD, dementia, grief, and relationship concerns.
She is familiar with the challenges people face in aged care facilities. Suzanne warmly welcomes clients who also identify as neurodivergent, LGBTIQ+, and people with cultural and language diversity (CALD). She is comfortable in providing support in person, or by phone and video (Telehealth).
Suzanne works with you to clarify your desired outcomes, develop a plan, and support you to achieve your outcomes at a pace that’s comfortable for you. Suzanne encourages your strengths and enhances your skills to manage unhelpful emotions and behaviours, improve communication in relationships, and foster greater belief in yourself to manage life’s problems and to find appropriate solutions. With a little practice, you will experience life with a greater sense of ease and confidence!
Suzanne has completed a Bachelor of Psychological Science (1st Class Honours), and a Master of Professional Psychology (Distinction). She has also co-authored a peer reviewed publication (2021). She has General Registration as a psychologist with AHPRA; and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
