Muradiye Selvi is a Consultant Psychologist with over 35 years of experience working in the mental health field and was the first Turkish–speaking Psychologist in private practice who developed multilingual psychology practice in Coburg. Her earlier jobs involved working at Royal Park Hospital and the Victorian Transcultural Psychiatry Unit, extensively studying the prevalence of mental health disorders within ethnic communities. She is also experienced as a health and welfare officer, disability worker, and a trainer and supervisor of telephone counsellors for Melbourne Life-Line.
Muradiye has continued to develop her skills in psychology and pursued interest in the areas of cross-cultural counselling, counselling victims of crime and trauma, counselling traffic accident victims, rehabilitation of injured workers, and chronic depression in migrant/ethnic women.
She is a trained relationship, marriage and family educator and has more recently been working with families and youth in the problem areas of drug and alcohol abuse and mental health.
She is also an avid volunteer within the Turkish Community as a regular speaker on community ethnic radios and television and provides seminars, lectures and workshops on psychological issues with-in the Community.
She is the Founder and Principal Psychologist running this dynamic and comprehensive clinical private practice providing extensive psychological services with her team at Total Psychological Care to members of our culturally and linguistically diverse community.
Muradiye Selvi is also active in the business community and was the first female to be asked to join the Australian Turkish Business Council ATBC in 2008. She served as the Vice president for 4 years and in April 2017 was elected as the first female President of the Australian Turkish Business, a role which she fulfilled until February 2021.
David is a Clinical Psychologist with over 18-years experience working in public mental health and private practice settings; he also has experience working in the psychiatric disability rehabilitation and support sector. His therapeutic approach centres around Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Schema Therapy and his core training in CBT.
With his extensive experience in public mental health, David is comfortable working with people experiencing complex mental health issues and has developed skills that enable him to work with many presenting difficulties including schizophrenia and personality disorders as well as high prevalence disorders including anxiety disorders and depression. His skill set also enables him to work effectively with a wide range of issues including life transition struggles, trauma, substance use problems, anger management skills and mindfulness skills development.
He is a registered clinical supervisor and has considerable experience in the provision of supervision to students and clinical psychology registrars and providing peer-to-peer supervision.

Kenan Rahmanovic is a highly experienced clinical psychologist with over 15 years of experience in the field. He is a registered supervisor and has a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology, making him well equipped to provide both clinical and supervisory services.
Throughout his career, Kenan has developed a deep understanding of the complexities of the human mind and the impact of mental health and overall well-being. He has worked with clients of all ages and backgrounds, providing individual and group therapy., as well as conducting psychological assessments and consultations.
He is particularly socialised in the area of trauma and personality disorders.
Kenan is known for his compassionate and empathetic approach, as well as his ability to establish a strong therapeutic alliance with his clients. He uses evidence-based techniques and interventions to help his clients achieve their goals and overcome the challenges they are facing. He has competency in schema therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy, and short term psychodynamic therapies.
In addition to his clinical work, Kenan is also registered supervisor and enjoys mentoring and supporting other professionals in the field. He is committed to staying up to date with the latest research and developments in the field of psychology, and regularly attends workshops and training sessions to expand his knowledge and skills.

Fares brings to our services 35 years of clinical experience having registered as a psychologist in 1988.
Fares is an empathic and highly skilled psychologist who believes that everyone should have access to mental health services and strives to support his community with compassion, ethical responsibility and professionalism.
He is highly regarded and sought out by our referral agencies and the community.
Fares possesses strong interest in cross-cultural counseling and supporting people from multi-cultural and minority ethnic backgrounds, with particular focus on Middle Eastern and Arabic-speaking community. As well as English as a first language, Fares also provides counselling in Arabic.
In addition to mental health concerns, Fares can assist with a wide range of other issues including family and domestic problems, anger management, and men’s behavioral adaptations.
He also provides services to injured workers and those injured in a motor vehicle accident and is registered as a provider with the Transport Accident Commission and Victorian Workcover Authority.

Safaa Hakim is a registered counsellor and psychotherapist. She is a mature age counsellor with a wealth of life experience and is compassionate about guiding her clients to explore their difficulties and strengthen their emotional wellbeing. Safaa enjoys working with Person Centred, Solution Focused, Emotionally Focused, and Body work approaches like Mindfulness, Meditation and Gestalt therapy. Sofia practices within a context which embraces acceptance, compassion and inner truth.
Safaa is an ethical, compassionate, non-judgmental and supportive therapist. She provides specific counselling in the areas of anxiety, stress, depression, and relationships; as well as behavioural and other cognitive issues, ensuring she can offer a wide range of counselling support to meet the needs of her clients and an organisation’s employees.
Safaa’s area of expertise includes working with people from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds; where an understanding of culture and traditions within the local Australian context allows her to support cultural context. Safaa was born in the Middle East and spent time in 32 countries in her adult life. This enables her to build and nurture an environment that is safe and inclusive for therapies that are suitable for each client. Safaa is a bilingual Arabic speaker and her practice is sensitive to the needs of people from various ethnic backgrounds, sexualities and diverse backgrounds.

Suzanne has worked primarily with adolescents and adults (to over 100 years old) who have struggled with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, ASD, ADHD, dementia, grief, and relationship concerns.
She is familiar with the challenges people face in aged care facilities. Suzanne warmly welcomes clients who also identify as neurodivergent, LGBTIQ+, and people with cultural and language diversity (CALD). She is comfortable in providing support in person, or by phone and video (Telehealth).

Merve is a registered Psychologist who works with people across the lifespan. She has experience in both private and public sectors including education and forensic sectors working with children, adolescents, young adults and adults.
Merve identifies as a Turkish-Australian, so understands the complexities and disparities of growing up in a culturally diverse environment as a first generation Australian. She is interested in working with culturally and linguistically diverse background communities and being bilingual can cater to Turkish speakers.
